What can I say about Sara and Alek?

Sara is a down to earth woman who is getting ready to start a new chapter in her life after living in Seattle for a year. She is roommates with her best friend Alexa, and has made a new friend at her current job, a young man by the name of Matt who seems to be outrageously attractive but sadly for our sake, he’s gay.

Sara works at a cute little flower shop, this is where she runs into the gorgeous Alek. Almost immediately, the attraction between the two is too much to bare. Alek is painted as a very mysterious guy, but a pure gentleman. While the author takes her time building the relationship between the two of them, she continuously brings up the fact that Alek isn’t all he’s cut out to be, there is something very strange going on behind his eyes, and in his mind. When the two finally come together and allow the built-up tension to come to a head the passion is so real, that moment is worth the wait. I do love that the author writes in both Alek and Sara’s point of view, it helps us see both sides of the story. I would’ve have liked to find out at least one of their secrets during this first book though, now I am kind of forced to read the next one to see what these secrets of theirs are. S. Nelson does show us a glimpse of Sara’s’ pass she has had a very painful experience but what that experience is we have yet to find out.

I am hoping that the second book shines some light on a lot of the foreshadowing that we’ve had so far, I want to know what Sara ran from, what Alek is hiding, and where these two will end up.
